Welcome in our Basic Concepts in Astronomy
course. This is the News and Announcements section of the site; please check
it frequently to get up-to-date course information.
To get you started here are
the most important things you need to know:
The information about the astronomy textbook is in the Welcome section of the site, the contact information
of your instructor, including office hours, is in the Contact Information
section.
The official rules and regulations of the course are in
the Requirements and Grading section; please read
them carefully and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask them. Not
knowing the official rules and regulations of the course does not exempt you from
the consequences of violating them!
Lecture notes are posted, to get them visit the Lecture and Exam Schedules section of
the site. It would be to your advantage to print these notes before class and
bring it to the lecture so that you can focus on understanding the material
rather than taking notes.
The schedules also
include the dates of the exams; please mark your calendar with the exam dates
of your section listed in the Lecture
and Exam Schedules section of the site. The Power Point Presentation can
be found at Blackboard.
